No Plan B

"Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd put their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything--all she had to live on.'" Mark 12:41-44 In the context of family budgeting, the idea of an emergency fund or "rainy day" fund is one most of us are familiar with even if we are yet to establish one. Basically, an emergency fund recognizes that life is unpredictable. Unexpected financial storms can kick up at anytime leaving us at risk and in peril of serious consequences.
